John has nearly 30 years experience building furniture from Rococo to Chippendale to contemporary of his own design. Almost 12 of those years were spent working for Sotheby's, one of New York's most prestigious auction houses, where he built reproductions of antiques for many of the world's most discriminating clients.

John enjoys the detailed hand work involved in building one of a kind furniture for his clients. He is known for the unusual details that give his work its special "signature," such as beautiful hand carving; inlaid, small, bone moon and stars in the form of constellations tucked into the arm or seat of a chair; a secret drawer for valuables, hidden in a high boy; or a poem hand carved across the headboard of a four poster bed.

His work has appeared in galleries nationally and in distinguished collections including The White House Christmas Tree, and the permanent collection of Ethan Allen Corporate Headquarters.

He has been featured on the cover of Fine Wood Working magazine and has pieces featured in Architectural Digest, Traditional Home, and several Fine Wood Working books.
